The Fellowship Begins
We cut through onto Highway 8 heading West to bypass the traffic at Phoenix then turned North on Route 85 and joined back in Interstate 10. Jason wanted to get diesel before we left the state. Diesel in California is ~$1/gallon more expensive. When Jason got out, Mr. Bill, Dragonfly and Snowflake all jumped out and were very interested to see how this was done.
Then Mr Bill tried to help and got in a bad situation and had to be rescued. He is all safe now.
Next door to our fuel stop was a very strange sign. It was a chicken eating a man. We asked for help from Rod to translate the Spanish, our best guess was this sign noted that something is "not for sale" and "we can do it". Kelley found a hint. Seems Hickman's is an egg farm? Note sure what that has to do with Chickens eating men, but we are open to your guess?
Kelley and Rod surveying how tight the parking was at the gas station, they were right.
Jason was mixing a quick cup of Joe using the fantastic Areo coffee maker. He was going to need this. After the diesel was pumped, we had to wait for the parking lot to clear out 'some'...
We round around Palm Springs and turned North toword Los Angeles. It was a very, very clear day. Notice downtown LA can be clearly seen from the 210 near Azusa.
The traffic was light and oddly enough, we met Marv on the highway. He was just 1/4 mile or so ahead of us. We checked in and wound around for parking and hookup connections.
We suspected that we may be slightly un-level. But the lean was to starbord and that will help Rod not roll off into the floor.
As we sit, we are listening to Wretched, and getting ready to leave for dinner with the Countryside Elders, Leaders and Pastors. We are so excited. Like eating with the cool kids at dinner!
Our love is for your all and we cherish your prayers and care.

But we had to get to Crack-a-Lak-in. So Jason lifted the tag-axle (AKA: sharp turn mode) and passed by a trailer blocking us in, with at least a millimeter or two to spare-think paint-smearingly close. It was another terrific demonstration of Schuh power-skills! We all clapped-it was AmAzInG!
For the next ~150 miles we listened to Steve Lawson's biography of John Knox on CD. Kelley has the ~20 CDs of this set. Very amazing content. I dozed off but when I awoke-shazam! we were in California. However Rod shot this pic of the entry. We met the requirements and were waived on through.

Jason and Marv unhooked the truck. In the process Jason got zapped big-time the static charge picked up from towing the truck, We all heard the BraaapP, followed by Ooow...
